Kabar kematian Yuyun gadis berusia 14 tahun yang diperkosa dan dibunuh oleh 14 laki-laki hingga saat ini masih terus dibicarakan dan ditindak lanjuti. Sampai dengan saat ini, kasus ini masih belum menemui jalan keluarnya. Baru-baru ini terdengar kabar yang aneh dari Sekolah Yuyun SMP di Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu. Teman sekelas Yuyun serta guru merasakan keanehan ketika Yuyun dikabarkan menghilang hingga akhirnya ditemukan telah meninggal dunia. Kabar aneh itu dikatakan oleh teman Yuyun yang mengatakan bahwa kursi dan meja tempat Yuyun belajar selalu basah padahal tidak ada atap yang bocor saat itu.

Muncul lagi kasus baru yang menimpa seorang gadis di Manado, Sulawesi Utara. Gadis ini mengaku bahwa dirinya telah diperkosa oleh belasan lelaki ketika ia telah pulang ke rumahnya. Kasus tersebut terungkap dalam konfrensi pers yang digelar oleh Deputi Perlindungan Hak Perempuan, Kementrian Negara Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (PPPA) bersama Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Provinsi Sulut di SwissBell Hotel, Manado Sabtu lalu 7 Mei 2016 siang hari.
